Enhanced knowledge of our projects in South Africa

I feel blessed!

I spent the last two weeks in South Africa, a country that captivated me with its stunning landscapes, rich history, and warm hospitality. My recent journey was a transformative experience that deepened my understanding of this remarkable nation and its people. Working in the Norsk Renewables office in Cape Town with our incredible team there was a great inspiration. In addition to having meetings there, we drove from west to east to visit the different sites where we have our projects. The diversity of the landscape that unfolded before me - from lush forests and pristine beaches to towering cliffs to all sorts of flora, fauna, and animals gave me an understanding of the important role we have concerning having a focus on the environment and the social aspects when developing our projects.

The landscape was vast and beautiful, but the most enriching aspect of my journey was the opportunity to meet and interact with the people – a diverse tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions. I was struck by the warmth, resilience, and ingenuity of the South African people. I encountered entrepreneurs driving innovation and community development to individuals whose passion and creativity are shaping the future of their country, and I must admit that it was a humbling reminder of the power of human connection and the importance of embracing diversity.

I carry with me memories and pictures of its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cities, a deeper appreciation for its complex history and culture, and an appreciation of the extraordinary tapestry of clever people who are succeeding in making a change.
